Cheapest Home Loans

Here at Cheapest-Home-Loans.com we are looking constantly to find the most competitive Home Loans that will help you in these difficult economic times. There are various factors that determine what good home loans that will be kind to your finances are,

  • What is the APR?
    • APR is obviously the most important factor, the lower the better but when you have many different companies offering similar APR rates other factors also come into play.
    • Duration of Loan/Mortgage
      • Will you be paying for this loan for the rest of your working life? Probably, but if you can get a mortgage with a smaller duration this is often better. However as is reality in this world, you will probably need to get a home loan that is up to and maybe even longer than 40 years. If you require a decent low monthly payment you will probably be looking for a mortgage that is for a longer duration than 25 years.

Mortgage Types

Tracker

A Tracker Mortgage is one of various styles of Mortgages that are available on the global housing market today; they are very popular for some good reasons. A tracker Mortgage basically watches the Bank of England base rate in the UK, so when the base rate increases so will your tracker loan, and when it decreases so will your mortgage. These are very popular at the moment as the Bank of England base rate is very low, so people with a tracker mortgage a doing fairly well. However as many people believe, this base rate sooner or later is going to rise with the inflation rate so this type of mortgage may well be a risk in the future.

Fixed Rate

The Fixed rate mortgage is likely the most popular type of mortgage available, unlike the tracker mortgage this does not follow any bank of England rate, rather you get a set rate for a minimum term. If you are looking to get this type of mortgage you want to get the longest duration possible, over 5 years if possible. And if you get a rate that is just slightly more than the current low bank of England base rate then it makes the most sense for a long term home loan.
